Spencer!

Over at About A Boy the second challenge is a layout using baby pictures. I had to dig around to find mine. I did find them and decided to use Spencers. I love love this picture. I think its the colors... Spencer is now a freshmen in high school and over 6 foot tall. He is a big boy. My Dads side of the family is all very tall. And Spencer certainly got those genes! But you will see those later.... for this challenge here is my layout.. I love the colors in this layout and I used a lot from my stash which makes me happy! What do you think? Thanks for looking...

Typography!

I found a site that had a challenge that intrigued me alot. The site Challenge Me Happy challange #40 is using typography. I know .. huh? I looked it up ...you know.. googled it... and thought about it .. alot. At the same time G3 played a game down in Georgia. We are lucky enough to have family down there and they were able to attend. Thanks to Dana we have have great pictures! G3 scored the tying goal and UMass was able to win! The newspaper down there captured a great picture... you see G3 loves to fly through the air. Combining these 2 things here is what I came up with... what do you think? I think I like it ...I feel like it was a great challenge that really pushed me!

The Boys...

So over at About a Boy, they have a challenge to introduce your "boys" in a scrapbook page. Easy right? Well, yes and no. I don't have any kids of my own. I am blessed to have 13 nieces and nephews, and 3 greats. They are my heart. Some of them I have been around since the first hoours of thier lives. So I have to introduce you to the five nephews and 2 great nephews. 7 pictures? I had to come up with a better idea. So I found a picture of all the kids and whited out the girls...lol.. hope they forgive me. And I added one of the 2 great nephews. Everyone of them from 34 to 3 years old are quite charming and good kids. They are growing so fast. They have all played sports, lacrosse mostly. Today, one is an artist, another has a career in cabling and wiring, one loves working on cars and made it his career. G3 is a soophmore in collage and plays Division 1 lacrosse, one is a freshmen in high school, a 4th grader and a kindergardner. Quite a collection. So without further ado... here is my take on the challenge... I love doing layout with the boys so you will pobably see a lot more of them....Check out "About a Boy" Thanks for looking!

lol.. this layout makes me laugh.. don't get me wrong I really like it and I pushed the edges. I did some different types of things. The "washers" on the left edge I painted with nail polish...lol.. I used lots of bright fun colors. I actually had a blast doing this. The challenge was "be bold" from Frosted Designs. So fun in the midst of a hard winter. here is my layout.... so tell me what you think...
