Spencer!
Over at About A Boy the second challenge is a layout using baby pictures. I had to dig around to find mine. I did find them and decided to use Spencers. I love love this picture. I think its the colors... Spencer is now a freshmen in high school and over 6 foot tall. He is a big boy. My Dads side of the family is all very tall. And Spencer certainly got those genes! But you will see those later.... for this challenge here is my layout..
I love the colors in this layout and I used a lot from my stash which makes me happy! What do you think? Thanks for looking...
Typography!
I found a site that had a challenge that intrigued me alot. The site Challenge Me Happy challange #40 is using typography. I know .. huh? I looked it up ...you know.. googled it... and thought about it .. alot. At the same time G3 played a game down in Georgia. We are lucky enough to have family down there and they were able to attend. Thanks to Dana we have have great pictures! G3 scored the tying goal and UMass was able to win! The newspaper down there captured a great picture... you see G3 loves to fly through the air. Combining these 2 things here is what I came up with...
what do you think? I think I like it ...I feel like it was a great challenge that really pushed me!

The Boys...
So over at About a Boy, they have a challenge to introduce your "boys" in a scrapbook page. Easy right? Well, yes and no. I don't have any kids of my own. I am blessed to have 13 nieces and nephews, and 3 greats. They are my heart. Some of them I have been around since the first hoours of thier lives. So I have to introduce you to the five nephews and 2 great nephews. 7 pictures? I had to come up with a better idea. So I found a picture of all the kids and whited out the girls...lol.. hope they forgive me. And I added one of the 2 great nephews. Everyone of them from 34 to 3 years old are quite charming and good kids. They are growing so fast. They have all played sports, lacrosse mostly. Today, one is an artist, another has a career in cabling and wiring, one loves working on cars and made it his career. G3 is a soophmore in collage and plays Division 1 lacrosse, one is a freshmen in high school, a 4th grader and a kindergardner. Quite a collection. So without further ado... here is my take on the challenge...
I love doing layout with the boys so you will pobably see a lot more of them....Check out "About a Boy"
Thanks for looking!

I used lots of bright fun colors. I actually had a blast doing this. The challenge was "be bold" from Frosted Designs. So fun in the midst of a hard winter.
here is my layout....

Life's Path
over at lasting memories, they are having a challenge... "leaving footprints behind". The challenge is to do a layout that has footprints on it.
Here is what I came up with...
I used echo park paper for the background, scraps of my minds eye, DCWV and bakers twine. The picture is of my great (how does that happen?) newphew. And of course I added footprints. The title is "moving along life's path".
Its simple but I like it.... how about you?

Good Morning! Another beautiful summer day to end May. It has been a beautiful spring/summer. I decided to join the My Minds Eye challenge for May. The challenge (if you choose to except) is too use female MME products on a male layout. Well I did and here is what I came up with...
I have had these picture for a few eyars. I was playing around and colorized the original to every color. Of course then I did not know what to do with them. I thought about again when I foudn this challenge. It was a really fun, out of the box challenge. I like how it came out. Noot sure whaat G3 would think...lol.
I used : MME lime twist, MME alphabet soup, MME Lush2 orange flower paper, MME Miss Caroline brads, white cord and MME fine and dandy tickled pink banner stickers. I edged the paper with hero arts soft shadow ink in apricot.
so what do you think?

Over at The Paper Variety they have this sketch:

I used some Bobunny, Echo Park and yellow Bicycle. I inked the edges with red ink. I made the flowers and used some brad and pearl stick ons.

this me when I was a baby with my godfathers children. Although I don't remember being that age I often wonder where does the time go... gone in a blink of an eye...
I used tersa collins sweet afternoon paper. it is such a soft and pretty collection. I used scraps to make the emballishments and I inked the edges.
I love the yellow and grey.. don't you?
