Life's Path

over at lasting memories, they are having a challenge... "leaving footprints behind". The challenge is to do a layout that has footprints on it. Here is what I came up with...
I used echo park paper for the background, scraps of my minds eye, DCWV and bakers twine. The picture is of my great (how does that happen?) newphew. And of course I added footprints. The title is "moving along life's path". Its simple but I like it.... how about you?

Good Morning! Another beautiful summer day to end May. It has been a beautiful spring/summer. I decided to join the My Minds Eye challenge for May. The challenge (if you choose to except) is too use female MME products on a male layout. Well I did and here is what I came up with...
I have had these picture for a few eyars. I was playing around and colorized the original to every color. Of course then I did not know what to do with them. I thought about again when I foudn this challenge. It was a really fun, out of the box challenge. I like how it came out. Noot sure whaat G3 would think...lol. I used : MME lime twist, MME alphabet soup, MME Lush2 orange flower paper, MME Miss Caroline brads, white cord and MME fine and dandy tickled pink banner stickers. I edged the paper with hero arts soft shadow ink in apricot. so what do you think?

Sketches In Thyme #76

well hi again! I have done a wonderful 2 page layout for Sketches In Thyme. It was fun to do and of course it is of "3". I have so much fun doing layout with pictures of him. I was at everyone of his games last season so it is like living it all again. And yep I already have college pictures to scrap! Here is the sketch:
And here is my take:
The hardest thing about this lay out is getting the picture ... it is hard to take a double lay out picture! It was the best I could get but I did take individual ones...
This picture... one of my favorite things from last years lacrosse season. When G3 would score he would raise his hand to the heavens and point. He told my Mom, his Nana, that all the goals were for her. She loved it. I loved it. And so did he. He is such a good kid! so, how did I do.....and if you love sketches... checkout Sketches in Thyme!

Lets get sketchy!

so for the second layout I finished today is for "Lets get Sketchy". I used the color palette from CSI and this sketch:
and here is what I came up with...
I used BoBunny paper for the base and I used some scraps that I had of bobunny, october afternoon and some heidi swapp paper. I used one of the pictures and cut it into puzzles pieces above the full pictures. I titled "summerwind". Also feathers and some bling! So what do you think?

LaZone Sketch!

well I have been scrapping all day! I finished a couple of projects! Lets start with Lazone. Here is the sketch...
so here is my sketch:
the middle is actually a round cork board, I surrounded it with cardboard. The picture are of G3 after scoring the 500th point. The youth Lacrosse teams were there and you can see 500 written on one of the kids heads... they all did that. It was a fun evening. Head over to LaZone .. they have some fun sketches

Lets get Sketchy! #7

Well I found another sketch site... Lets get Sketchy.. and they had a great sketch so I gave it a try!

here is sketch challenge #7

and here is my interpretation:

I used BoBunny paper. I actually used 2 pieces of the same and made the circle and star 3D. It is hard to see in the picture.I used buttons, flowers (homemade) and recycled embellishments.

I really like how this came out... what do you think?

Check out Lets Get Sketchy!

Sketch 74...

ok so I did this backwards..lol.. maybe thats cause I am left handed! Oh well... here is sketch 74:

and once again my interpretation:

This was a fun sketch to use. I really like using a lot of photos. I used pink paislee paper for the base. I used SEI "I am an athlete" paper to coordinate. I used random embellishments to include soda can tabs!

Another lacrosse page done... we really had a great year last year and I have not even started college!

check out the sketches at Sketches In Thyme!

Score

This next page is for sketches in Thyme. They had a great sketch:

and here is my interpetation:

I used Minds Eye Paper for the base and BoBunny basic for the green dotted paper. I used a piece of burlap which I inked. I then used embillishments and stickers. The "3" was stamped.

I really enjoyed this sketch. Check out Sketches in Thyme!

Don't forget, our Design Team Call runs until April 20th, can't wait to see your take on our fun sketch!!

and here is my take.....

I used Making memories paper for the base. I then used Karen Foster lacrosse paper and a scrap piece I had. The embellishments were pieces I had around. There is ribbon, iron on letters, the stars were leftover sale items. The journal strips are actually Martha Stewart ribbon style tags cut in half.

The journaling says... G3 2011 season..thrilled the fans with his 90+ mph shots. He had over 500 point this season.

I think it came out great! Go over to Sketches in Thyme and check them out.. their sketches are wonderful!

Thanks for looking...

La Zone Sketch

I found this "new" sketch place. Well, I mean new to me! It is called "La Zone Sketch" and I loved loved the sketch! I decided I wanted to try it. The blog is on French and I can read some of it. I really hope they don't mind me playing along! It is also a good way to brush up on my french from a long time ago...lol..

Here is the sketch..

and this is my interpretation...

I really really liked this sketch. I laugh when I place the tickets on a page. They are actually from his games. I brought a bag and would give it to the ticket taker so he could save them for me. They were only going to through them away!

Go visit this site.. I think you will like the sketches! La Zone Sketch.

I can fly!

I have been scrapping quite a bit these days. I love scrapping and found some new places with creative challenges! Some I can post right on the site but I will place them here soon. This one is for One with White. This month it is grey and white and tags/tabs. It was fun to do as I had to think bigger> I can feel my scrappin changing. I do hope I am getting better. But as long as I am having fun!

This picture is of "3" and it one of my favorites! I love lacrosse! I am trying to catch up from last years season. He is at college now and I will have a lot to catch up with. Ok, the picture....

So what I did was take a piece of chip board in the shape of an airplane and cut the picture around that. Then I placed it over the cut out photo to give it some depth. Then at the bottom I use the outline of balloons and added white balloons inside and printed "I can fly" on them. This was a fun challenge! It is a great shot don't you think?

There is more to come ... so look for other post today..

We all had a great time watching "three" in his final high school lacrosse season... he provided us with lots of exciting moments and fun. I found a site "Scrapping the Boys" and thought this would fit with their March challenge!

Now he is in college playing lacrosse and we all continue to make memories. I am catching up on last years pictures.. so you will have to put up with me! Its really fun and satisfying to be scrapping again...

more soon!
well is been a while.. I have been scrapping and creating but not like I use too. Life... well you know. I decided I wanted to scrap again and was looking around and found a site "white with one". Such a fun fun challenge> And it got the juices going. Last month I actually created a LO but didn't get it in. This month I think I am squeaking in...lol..

You all know by now I love scrapping my goose and three and that still holds... So here is my goose ... joining in at the naval academy.

Watching her transform from a beautiful Young lady to a sailor has been amazing... she is still beautiful and she will always be my goose!
